The Transparent Speaker is not only a beautiful object but also a speaker with remarkable acoustic qualities. It offers enough external connectivity options so that it will not become obsolete quickly.

The Transparent Speaker consists of a sealed glass enclosure housing three speakers that appear to be suspended in mid-air: two 76 mm diameter full-range models and a 165 mm diameter woofer. The sealed enclosure guarantees precise and fast bass, as well as very good linearity of the frequency response. The three speakers are powered by an 80-watt amplification module and benefit from DSP audio processing. The front control panel includes the volume control as well as potentiometers for bass and treble adjustment.

The Transparent Speaker has two analog mini-jack audio inputs (one at the back and one at the front) to which a portable audio player, smartphone, or laptop can be connected. The USB port can power a Bluetooth or WiFi audio receiver to wirelessly stream music from a compatible device (smartphone, tablet, computer).

But the best way to wirelessly exploit the audio qualities of the Transparent Speaker is to pair it with an Apple Airport Express (not included), a specifically dedicated niche being provided at the back of the speaker. It can then be used with the Apple AirPlay protocol to stream music wirelessly and uncompressed, whether from a computer equipped with iTunes, an iPod Touch, an iPhone or an iPad which natively integrate this technology, or from an Android smartphone or tablet using an AirPlay compatible application such as doubleTwist Player.
